"Passchendaele" - the feature film

- Give your own review of Paul Gross's feature film, "Passchendaele".
- Unfortunately, we won't be able to attend as a grade-wide field trip as we didn't have enough students handing in their permission forms etc. on time, but we encourage you to go and see the movie on your own and let us know what you think about it.
- As well, if you check the link below from the Dominion Institute, there is a letter writing contest that you can enter.

I had been looking forward to seeing on our field trip too, but I did get a chance to go and see the movie on Remembrance Day. It was super sad so girls, bring a box of tissues:-) You certainly know a guy loves you when he's willing to go to war for you. The beginning was a little slow, but once the battle started it got much better. Leaning about war from a text book doesn't have the same impact on you as actually seeing it in a movie. War looks much worse when you're watching it rather than reading about it.

i finally saw the movie, it was sort of slow to start off, but once it got going, it was interesting. It really shows how times were like back then and how lucky all of us are to not have to go to war.

I saw the movie a while ago, and i thought it was an okay movie, and like other people have said, it had a pretty slow start. It showed alot more of how Canada was affected at home than actually in Europe. Even though there was a few moments in the movie that made you think about what war was like then, it was nothing compared to movies like Saving Private Ryan.
